About Sikhism:
Sikhism, one of the youngest of the world's religions was founded Guru Nanak, was born in 1469. Sikhism is not a blend or a reproduction of earlier religions but it is a new revelation altogether. Despite its young age, Sikh religion has attracted the attention of the scholars world over. So much so that it is now being counted as one amongst four or five known religions. Turban:
The turban or "pagri" often shortened to "pag" or "dastar" are different words in various dialect for the same article. All these words refer to the garment worn by both men and women to cover their heads. It is a headdress consisting of a long scarf-like single piece of cloth wound round the head or sometimes an inner patka.

Khalsa:
Khalsa which means 'pure' is the name given by Guru Gobind Singh to all Sikhs who have been baptised or initiated by taking Amrit in a ceremony called Amrit Sanchar. On March 30, 1699, Guru Gobind Singh—the tenth and final human Guru—revealed a new, voluntary order of the Sikhs, called the Khalsa (meaning "belonging only to the Divine").
